fueled by creativity... committed to quality
Because we're committed to uncompromising quality at QRe8, each and every one of our XM Codes™ goes through rigorous cross-platform testing before it’s released to our client, and ultimately the market. So, to illustrate the seamless scanning performance of our codes on a variety of phones and readers, earlier today (along with our intrepid tech team) we tested several.
Note that we actually scanned our samples in a couple contexts: both from monitors (which invariably pose infraction, glare problems) and also from print (a more realistic consumer scenario). Still, regardless of context, we're happy to report success on all fronts and encourage everyone to check out the evidence on video…

reader speeds
Regarding the videos of the i-Nigma reader on the i-Phone vs the Blackberry - it appears the Blackberry took 2 to 3 times longer than the iPhone to reach that web site. Is that a fair assessment, or was it only specific to the one CNN scan that we saw?
RE: reader speeds
Hi Karen,
The time it took the CNN mobile page to display on either the iPhone or the Blackberry was not a function of the reader or the code but rather the strength of the 3G connection on each device at the exact time of the scan(s).
Hope this helps.
Sincerely,
The QRe8 Team
